  • ADULT PSYCHIATRIC INPATIENT

Our Adult Psychiatric Inpatient Program provides stabilization and support for adults age 18 and older experiencing emotional and behavioral issues such as severe depression, bipolar disorder, and other mental health issues. We also offer dual-diagnosis programming for patients struggling with co-occurring addiction issues. Our inpatient program is separated into all male and all female units with private rooms optimized for patient comfort.

  • OLDER ADULT INPATIENT

Our Older Adult Inpatient Program provides specialized care and support for seniors age 65 and older who are experiencing emotional and mental health issues like dementia, anxiety and more. Our staff is certified in Dementia Care through the Crisis Prevention Institute in order to provide up-to-date, evidence-based care for our older patients. The program is housed in two separate units just for seniors, with private rooms featuring PsychSafe beds that provide additional security and comfort for older adults. The Monarch Program Unit is for seniors with acute mental health and substance abuse issues, while the separate Magnolia Unit is for patients who have more chronic medical conditions or may be dealing with cognitive impairment issues.

  • PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is an outpatient option for adults who may be experiencing some emotional distress but do not require the 24-hour care of a traditional inpatient program. PHP can also function as a step-down program for adults who’ve completed an inpatient program but still need a more structured care environment. PHP meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

  • INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a second outpatient option for adults who may be experiencing some emotional distress but do not need heavily structured 24-hour care. IOP is less structured than PHP but offers more support and attention than most traditional outpatient programs. We teach coping and communication skills that promote recovery and help prevent relapse. IOP meets three days a week from 9:00 a.m. to noon. We also now offer an evening outpatient program for those in need of more flexible scheduling options.

Mother & Daughter

“My daughter had excellent care during her time, and we were extremely pleased with all of the staff at Garland Behavioral Hospital. They treated her with caring, concern, and respect. They were respectful and helpful to my family when we came for visitation and when we had questions. They were helpful in filling out paperwork for her work … My daughter’s social worker, Jessica, also went out of her way, on more than one occasion, to be of help to my daughter and to our family. She helped us communicate with my daughter about a family emergency. She also stayed in contact with us about my daughter’s care and how we could help her when she got home … I appreciate the staff and the extra effort they gave to help my daughter in her journey toward a healthier life.”
